Zoom meeting notes on being glorified NOW

OT tells us that His glory is the manifestation of Himself IN the tabernacle or temple

Ex 40:34 – God’s glory FILLED the tabernacle

1 Kings 8:11 – God’s glory FILLED His house

2 Chron 5:14 – God’s glory FILLED the house of God

The root of FILLED expresses total totality! And implies full quantity – to the max! refers to “that which is complete in itself. Emphasizes the maximum full extent!

One more in the OT — Haggai 2:7: And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

Will fill is piel stem perfect tense in Hebrew – AND I FILLED!!

Root is to occupy to the full capacity

Col 1:27 (Mirror) – Within us, God is delighted to exhibit the priceless treasure of this glorious unveiling of Christ’s indwelling in order that every person on the planet, whoever they are, may now come to the greatest discovery of all time and recognize Christ in them as in a mirror! He is the desire of the nations and completes their every expectation! (He is not hiding in history, or in outer space nor in the future, neither in the pages of Scripture, he is merely mirrored there to be unveiled within you.

V. 28 – This is the essence and focus of our message; we 1awaken everyone’s mind, instructing every individual by bringing them into full understanding [flawless clarity] in order that we may prove (present) everyone perfect in Christ.

We (ALL mankind) are His house, His tabernacle, His dwelling place!

There is no part of us that is not FILLED to the total totality, to the very extreme, to the maximum fullness of His glory… it’s HIM IN us! FINISHED! DONE!

We are not accustomed to the idea that ALL that we are seeking is already embodied with-IN us.

This is the great mystery… that we embody within ourselves the FULLNESS of God.

Not just a portion of God – but the ALL-ness and the IS-ness of Father, Son, and Spirit.

His very Presence… His FULL glory NOW

Human flesh was designed to recognize God’s glory and exhibit His glory

To recognize that we are embodiments of His glory expressed IN, AS, and THROUGH us… we are image and likeness of Him.

Romans 8:30 – He predestined us, called us, justified us, AND glorified us

ALL verbs aorist indicative — absolutely FINISHED; DONE.

Romans 8:18 – For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Shall be revealed sounds future tense… but the verb revealed is aorist – completed; finished

Mirror: to the glory he reveals IN us.

We’re not waiting to be glorified… His glory is revealed IN us

This verse continued from v. 17 –

we are His children (offspring) and heirs of God

AND then Paul expounds on us as heirs…. joint heirs; co-heirs of Christ

Now he’s introduced the co! He’s introduced the union, the ONENESS!

If we suffer with Him – don’t read as conditional! Of course, we were represented and included in His suffering – we co-died and were co-buried with Him!

So that… for the purpose of — we are co-glorified; AORIST – FINISHED; DONE!

Jesus was glorified… we are co-glorified

Eph 2:6 – and He raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus

Raised and seated are aorist indicative… FINISHED

When He was raised 2k years ago we were co-raised

When He was seated 2k years ago we were co-seated

In the heavenly realms IN Christ Jesus

Not someday… NOW.

Mirror – We are co-included in his resurrection. We are also co-elevated in his ascension to be equally present in the throne room of the heavenly realm where we are co-seated with him in his executive authority. We are fully represented in Christ Jesus. (We have wasted so much time trying to get there, when “there” is where we are to begin with! Our joint position in Christ defines us; this can never again be a distant goal to reach through religious devotion or striving, but our immediate location.

Col 3:1-3: Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is youra life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Died – aorist indicative – absolutely FINISHED, DONE

We co-died with Him – and we’re hidden with Christ (co-Christ) IN God

V. 4 (YLT): when the Christ — our life — may be manifested, then also we with him shall be manifested in glory.

Paul is declaring our CO-GLORIFICATION IN Christ!

The word when means when or whenever

According to Walter Bauer Lexicon, the Greek word otan (when) is often used of an action that is repeated.

Mirror bible says that WHEN is better translated every time

“Every time Christ is revealed we are being co-revealed in his glory.”

2 Cor 3:18 (KJV) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

With an open face — We ALL have been unveiled (perfect tense – FINISHED, COMPLETED action with results continuing!) We’ve ALL been unveiled and mankind’s ability to see can’t ever be veiled again by being enslaved to sin and death because of Adam’s fall!

V. 17 says the Spirit of the Lord IS! (is = I AM) and where the Spirit of the Lord is, is FREEDOM!

Freedom is no longer a slave; unshackled!

ALL of Adam died at the cross… we are completely free; completely unveiled!! We are face to face IN HIM.

We are FREE to see who we are

We behold His glory reflected IN us… we see HIM! A mirror image!

I like the Mirror notes – Now, with unveiled faces we are gazing at the glory of the Lord as in a mirror and metaporhe happens – image and likeness awakens within us!

Changed ‘from glory to glory’ – Paul uses the word apo for from

Apo doesn’t mean from as in a transition or progression from one degree of God’s glory to the next in us

No apo means away from or separation

Paul is stressing the completeness of our being co-glorified!

Two glories are mentioned in this chapter; the glory of the flesh, which is the veiled, fading kind represented by Moses and the unfading, unveiled glory of God’s image and likeness, mirrored in the face of Christ and now redeemed in us.

Away from the veiled glory of the flesh to the unveiled glory of God’s image and likeness IN us…. A COMPLETE co-glorifying!

Colossians 2:9-10a: For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him

Complete – perfect tense – FINISHED with results continuing without end

Mirror – In him, all the fullness of Deity resides in a human body! He proves that human life is tailor-made for God! 10 And since we are in him, there is no shortfall in us! Jesus mirrors our completeness and endorses our true identity. He is “I am” in us!

I love the Mirror notes – While the expanse cannot measure or define God, their detailed likeness is displayed in human skin. God is fully at home in Jesus. He is God’s happy delight to be human. Any teaching that leaves one with a sense of lack and imperfection rather than completeness is a distraction from the truth.)

We cannot become more than what we already are in Christ.

We do not grow from glory to glory as in a gradual change!

We will not someday be more glorified than we are right NOW!

We awaken to who we are — we simply grow in the knowledge and awareness of our completeness!

But our completeness, our glory, doesn’t grow…. It is FULLY complete and FINISHED

Ex 16:7 – and in the morning you shall see the glory of the LORD

In the morning – awakening

A friend posted a memory of something her daughter said when she was small…. Sutter yesterday morning…”Mom do you know why I don’t like mornings?” Me “No why”…Sutter “Because they always come along when I’m sleeping!!”

John 17:22: And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.

I have given – perfect tense; COMPLETED, FINISHED with effects continuing without end

It was ALL His doing… no help from us; without our approval or even our desire for it!

In Eph 5:14, Paul says – awake you who sleep

(Mirror) This is the message of light: Christ awakens you from your intoxicated slumber and resurrects you out of the death trap of enslaved thought patterns.

John 17:24 – “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

That we may be with Him where He is

Greek interlinear — where I AM, they likewise exist (I AM) with Me

Oh man! There’s another co! – with Me — we are co- I AM (with Him) where He IS

Where is He?

He is seated at the right hand of the Father — and we are co-seated with Him (Eph 2:6)

Co-seated with Him, co-I AM with Him

It is from the IS-ness and NOW-ness of being co-seated and co- I AM with Him that we behold His glory

And in beholding His glory we know that we are FULLY glorified NOW – it’s part of our co-seated-ness and co- I AM-ness IN Him!
